Since conception, Vega have become notorious for giving generous community donations. To date the company have donated “…over 1.2 million pounds of Vega nutrition (including plant-based protein powders, bars, shakes, and snacks) to food banks across the US and Canada since 2013”.
During the difficult times of the COVID-19 crisis, the company has banded together to push their Giving Back Together Scheme even further by offering resources (both time and product) to frontline workers. So far Vega have supplied to workers in 17 cities in Canada, and 26 cities in the US, and it seems that the number is only growing.
“… we've donated 70,000+ Vega® products to hospitals to fuel their frontline workers during those long, overnight shifts, and to food banks to distribute our products to those in need.”
By supplying workers with nutrition dense and plant-based fuel, Vega are making a direct contribution to helping the planet get through this pandemic, and we’re pleased to see such a positive output of energy from an industry leading company.
In a recent post they stated, “We’re all in this together after all”, and we at Natural Thyme couldn’t agree more. Bravo Vega!
